The FIGC and Fondazione AIRC sign memorandum of understanding

There were 98 clubs belonging to Lega Serie A, Lega B, Lega Pro and Lega Nazionale Dilettanti that adhered to the Charter on the environmental sustainability of football, a theme that characterised the work day that took place at the Federal Technical Centre in Coverciano and organised by the FIGC. The Charter, drawn up by the Federation in collaboration with the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna of Pisa and shared with the other federal components, is part of the legacy activity of the 'Life Tackle' project on the environmental sustainability of football, co-financed by the European Union's LIFE programme and supported by UEFA.

After a morning dedicated to the topic of environmental sustainability linked to football, which is becoming increasingly important, Tiberio Daddi of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa, who coordinated the 'Life Tackle' project, took the floor; in the afternoon, after the speech by Niccolò Todaro - also from the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna - the participants (in person and remotely) were involved in several working groups to devise the activities of the network of clubs adhering to the Charter on five macro-areas: environmental governance, stadium and infrastructure management, event management, stakeholder engagement and partnerships, and fan engagement.
