A new attempt to raise awareness next weekend with #UnitiDagliStessiColori (#Unitedbythesamecolours), the campaign against racial discrimination promoted by the FIGC together with the Italian leagues (Lega Serie A, Lega Serie B, Lega Pro and Lega Nazionale Dilettanti), technical components (players and managers), referees, academies and youth sectors, as well as women’s and Paralympic football associations.
On Saturday 8 April, during matchday 29 of Serie A, the campaign will be displayed on all the pitches and through a message that will be read on the speakers. On the same day #UnitiDagliStessiColori banners will be displayed in six Serie C stadiums (Trento, Pordenone, Siena, Reggio Emilia, Avellino and Crotone), while on Monday 10 April it will be shown during the Serie B games. All match directors involved on the Serie A, B and C pitches will wear the campaign’s shirt.
The campaign - Through the use of CMYK four-colour process (cyan, magenta, yellow and black), the #UnitiDagliStessiColori concept, devised by the Independent Ideas agency, tells the story of the different ethnic groups from a new and original point of view: fighting against discrimination, the campaign uses primary colours, demonstrating how every skin type has the same origin and, in fact, is the combination of the same colours. The project sees UNAR (National Anti-Discrimination Office of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers) as an institutional partner and came alive with the contribution of UEFA HatTrick FSR (Football and Social Responsibility).
