Angelo Domenghini's Azzurri tracksuit donated to the Museo del Calcio

33 caps and six goals, and a European Championship winner: Angelo Domenghini is one Italy's greats spanning across the '60's and '70's. He was part of the 1968 European-winning squad, which saw him score in the 'first' final against Yugoslavia - giving them a 1-1 draw - to allow them a second chance, which they won 2-0 two days later.
Born in the province of Bergamo in 1941, he took part in all six of the Azzurri's games at the 1970 World Cup in Mexico, under Valcareggi, scoring in the their opening game of the competition against Sweden. .
His long stay in the National side - from November 1963 to April 1972 – was also aligned with success at club level:a Coppa Italia won with Atalanta, thanks to a hat-trick in the final; two Intercontinental Cups, a European Cup and two Scudetto titles as a player with Inter, and the historic league title win with Cagliari.
From today, Angelo Domenghini's Azzurri tracksuit - donated by Nicola Calzaretta - enrichens the collection at the Museo del Calcio (Italy's Football museum).
