The Museum of Football to reopen to the public on Saturday 1 May
A place where the emotions of football can be enjoyedMonday, April 26, 2021
Saturday 1 May 2021 is a date to circle on your calendar. Indeed, the Museum of Football, which is based in Florence next to Coverciano, will safely reopen to the public on 1 May from 10:00 CEST to 18:00 CEST (no lunch break, entrance is permitted until 17:30 CEST). The museum has been renovated and contains new Azzurri memorabilia and exhibits that provide a real insight into the world of football and the Azzurri. A trophy room, a section dedicated to the women’s National Team and a screening area with sounds and videos can now be experienced by visitors.
“There’s always been something going on at the Museum of Football, and I’d like to thank the team of workers involved,” said Maurizio Francini, the museum’s director. “Renovation activities have continued so as to allow the museum to become even more of a family-friendly place where the emotions of football can be enjoyed. It’s thus increasingly accessible and is able to bring together different generations. Soon, there will be new developments and initiatives linked to the museum.”
The museum’s shop, where it is possible to purchase official National Team products, will also be reopening.
Reservations are required for the weekend. The same applies to special offers for schools and sports clubs during the week.
