The Under-21 European qualifying match between Iceland and Italy will be played on 12 November at Reykjavik’s Víkingsvöllur Stadium. The game had been to due to be played on 9 October, but was postponed by UEFA after Iceland authorities asked the Italian delegation to go into quarantine. Two players and one member of staff were diagnosed with COVID-19 after testing positive at the airport upon arrival in the country’s capital.

Therefore, the Azzurrini’s schedule will change as they will now play three matches in the next break. Italy’s fixture with Luxembourg has been postponed from 12 to 15 November and Italy vs. Sweden has been pushed back by a day (from 17 to 18 November). The Sweden game is the final fixture in the group and will take place at the Arena Garibaldi in Pisa.

Italy are currently top of Group 1 on 16 points - level with the Republic of Ireland, who have played one game more than the Azzurrini.
