Parma to host Italy Women’s final home match of 2025

Parma will host Italy Women’s final home game of a remarkable 2025. On Tuesday 28 October, the Stadio Ennio Tardini will stage the Azzurre’s friendly with Brazil (kick-off at 18:15 CEST), just four days after the team face Japan at the Sinigaglia in Como. These matches against the sides ranked eighth and seventh in the FIFA ranking – Soncin’s team are currently twelfth – come ahead of the Azzurre’s US tour, where they will take on the world’s most decorated team, ranked second behind Spain, in Orlando on Friday 28 November and in Fort Lauderdale on Monday 1 December.

For Italy, this will be the fourth match in the Emilian city, which previously hosted the Azzurre when they beat Lithuania 7-0 in World Cup qualifying in April 2022, as well as when they faced Switzerland (December) and Sweden (May this year) in the Nations League. Italy are set to face the South Americans for the eighth time, just under two months after Brazil lifted their ninth Copa América, adding to their three Olympic silver medals. The Canarinhas have never lost to the Azzurre, winning seven of the eight previous meetings, including the most recent match three years ago in Genoa, which drew over 6,000 spectators.
