Road to the World Cup: 30 players called up for the friendly against Colombia

The National Women's team is ready to return to the pitch for the last game before the World Cup begins. On Tuesday, April 11th at 16:30 CEST, exactly one hundred days before the start of the World Cup, Italy will take on Colombia - a team they have never played - at the Tre Fontane stadium in Rome, which last November 14th had already hosted the match between the Under 23 Women's team and the England team. The match against the South American outfit, 27th in the FIFA Ranking, will mark the return of the Azzurre to the capital after an absence of twenty years.

With only one friendly scheduled, Milena Bertolini will take advantage of the seven-day training camp at Coverciano to carry out fitness tests and intensify tactical work. For the second camp of 2023, the coach has decided to focus on 30 players: Lucia Di Guglielmo, Valentina Cernoia and Sara Gama are back in the group, with the Italian captain not wearing the national team shirt since last summer's European Championship. First call-ups for the Como Women players Matilde Pavan and Chiara Beccari, who had already taken part in the camp that preceded the start of Euro 2022, but also for Giulia Dragoni (Barcelona) and Eva Schatzer (Juventus), who will however leave the camp on the afternoon of Tuesday 4 to join the National Under 19 women's team who will play in Round 2 of qualification for the European Championships scheduled in Novara and Vercelli.

Ticketing - Spectators will be admitted free of charge after registering on the Figc website. All information on how to receive the ticket will be announced in the coming days.

Media accreditations - editors are informed that accreditation operations for the Tre Fontane match are open exclusively on the online electronic system https://figc.getyourevent.online/ until Friday 7 April (12:00 CEST). It is possible to apply for accreditation after the necessary registration on the Accreditations FIGC portal.
