The Under 19 National Team, current champions of Europe, are ready for the first qualifying phase for the European Championships after a September that saw them face Northern Ireland (3-2 victory) and the Netherlands (2-0 defeat) and Serbia in October (5-4 defeat and 3-1 win). The Azzurrini will be playing from 15 to 21 November in Sweden.
After the training camp from 6 to 8 November at Coverciano, coach, Bernardo Corradi confirmed the 20-man squad, 14 born in 2005 and 6 born in 2006 (Cisse, Magni, Mannini, Marin, Pafundi and Romano). They will take to the pitch at the Borås Arena on Wednesday 15 (13:00 CET) against Lichtenstein, Saturday 18 (13:00 CET) against Switzerland and Tuesday 21 November (18:00 CET) against hosts, Sweden in Group 4. The top two teams of each of the 13 groups as well as the best third-placed team will make it through to the elite phase. The final phase of the European Championships is scheduled from 15 to 28 July in Northern Ireland.
