U20 Elite League set to resume: the Stadio Benito Stirpe to host the match between Italy and Portugal

On 12 October, the Stadio Benito Stripe in Frosinone will play host to the match between the Under-20 National Team and their Portuguese counterparts. A traditionally great showdown, the match against Portugal will be Italy’s third match of the U20 Elite League: prior to this, the Azzurrini will face Poland in Lomza on Thursday 2 September and England away from home on 7 October. Meanwhile, in between these two fixtures, a friendly against Serbia is scheduled for 6 September in Castel di Sangro.

After a long pause in action due to the pandemic, the Elite League is resuming, with the following teams involved alongside Italy: Portugal, England, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Romania and Norway. The latter two have replaced Switzerland and the Netherlands, who took part in the last edition.
